Things looking up; night three

I think the first two days of the ride must have been trial by – not fire exactly – more wind and freezing cold. Andy did sound a little ‘under the weather’ on Saturday evening when he called. You may know that Egypt caught the southern end of the storm system that swept through Europe from west to east. Wrestling with a tent that’s threatening to blow away isn’t a good  end to any day!

But he’s sounding like he is back to strength and he can look on the bright side…the storm system was due to fade out by yesterday…and he’s 3 days fitter than he was when he started… (sometimes you have to look really hard to find a bright side)

You can be assured that he’s looking after himself in fine style. Compare the campers’ accommodations with the hotel he found for tonight, near the camp site somewhere on the Red Sea coast. I’m  happy thinking of him in a clean comfortable bed and a bathroom to himself. I’m sure it will make tomorrow seem an easier day too.
